Forced displacement remains a formidable challenge facing our society today, with millions forced to flee the safety and sanctity of their homes. As geopolitical shifts reshape the region, Georgia has increasingly become a refuge for those escaping nearby conflicts. Currently, the country hosts over 30,000 internationally displaced people, including 27,330 Ukrainian refugees, alongside smaller groups from Syria, Russia, Iran, Iraq, and Türkiye.
Drawing on secondary data, this report examines the key challenges refugees and asylum-seekers face, such as housing affordability, access to employment, healthcare, and legal aid. We encourage readers to explore the full report to understand these issues' breadth and consider how coordinated humanitarian efforts can support displaced individuals in Georgia.
